Khaitan wins big on M&A
The firm played an active role in 17 announced M&A deals worth about 17.82 billion US$, including 13 completed deals worth 17.41 billion US$. The most prominent deal was the acquisition of the 67 per cent shares held by Li Ka Shing Holdings in Hutchison Essar by the British giant Vodafone for 11.1 billion US$ in February 2007.
